HIFEM Therapy

What is HIFEM Therapy?

High-intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology (HIFEM™) triggers intense pelvic floor muscles contractions by targeting neuromuscular tissue and inducing electric currents. Electric currents depolarize neurons resulting in concentric contractions and lift up of all pelvic floor muscles. Key effectiveness is based on focused electromagnetic energy, in-depth penetration, and stimulation of the entire pelvic floor area. The HIFEM™ technology brings deep PFM stimulation and restoration of the neuromuscular control. The HIFEM™ passes non-invasively through pelvic floor area. Therefore, it represents a non-invasive solution for incontinent patients, who remain fully clothed during the therapy.

What Does It Treat?

BTL’s  EMSELLA™ uses High-intensity Focused Electromagnetic technology (HIFEM™) to cause deep pelvic floor stimulation and restoration of the neuromuscular control and stimulation of the entire pelvic floor area. It is FDA approved for both male and female urinary incontinence.

How Does it Work?

When you sit on the chair you remain fully clothed. You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the treatment. Immediately after the procedure you may resume your normal activities.

You may experience improvement after 1 session or multiple sessions. Once results are noticeable, they will continue to improve after each session. It effectively stimulates your pelvic floor muscles 11,000 times in 28 minutes.
